The Beijing Fragrant Hills Flower Festival has been held for 12 years, and this year’s activity of viewing and enjoying is scheduled to begin on April 10.
Ranunculus asiaticus (a name of flower own to perennial root herb plants and originated in the Mediterranean Coast) is the king of fragrant hill’s mountain flowers. 10,000 strains of them are cultivated at fragrant hills park garden base. Since November 2014, through special non-woven plant measures, seedlings have been cultivated in the soil and grown up the unique Ranunculus asiaticus of fragrant hill. It is expected that this batch of Ranunculus asiaticus will move into fragrant hill park and meet visitors on early April. Now, these groups of Ranunculus asiaticus flowers are all in bud.

Bus route: inside the city, take bus 698, 714, 630, 5, 360, 318, 331, 854, 505, 634, 696 and get off at Xiang Shan Station.
Private driving route:
1. From the Fifth Ring Road to Fragrant Hills: drive out of the Fifth Ring Road at Xiangshan Road Exit, continue to run about 5 minutes from the Xiangquan Roundabout (a signpost) to the northwest.
2. From the Fourth Ring Road to Fragrant Hills: out of the Fourth Ring Road at Sihai Bridge Exit, run to northwest (a signpost ), after MinZhuang Road, turn north from the Drought River Crossroad, to the northwest at Xiangquan Roundabout (a signpost), run again for about 5 minutes.
3. From Xiang Shan south road to Fragrant Hills: run to north, after Red Flag village, turn to the west at Wofo Temple Crossroad (a signpost), then run again for about 5 minutes.
4. From the Summer Palace to Fragrant Hill: drive west from Qing Dragon Bridge, through Xianghongqi(a place name), Empress Mansion(a place name), to northwest at Xiangquan Roundabout (a signpost), run again for about 5 minutes.
