  Sichuan Old Alley Hot Pot is located on the opposite of Beijing Normal University south gate, with patience you can find it easily. The first floor is waiting area, while the second floor is the restaurant. Once entering into the red gate, you will feel that you are in a bar of an American town.

 

  Hardly can you feel that it’s a restaurant of Sichuan hot pot. Climbing the stair, you can appreciate the wall with gramophone record and American style logo. After that you will step onto the wonderful second floor. On the walls, there are a great deal of blue element graffiti and wine bottles. All of these will make you want to order a glass of vodka. Fresh and decent, the private rooms are also America rural style. Therefore, people can make up a dinner party here. With such magnificent decoration, hardly can you remember that you are here to taste the authentic Sichuan hot pot.

  In the restaurant, we adopt the nine-block-box hot pot, and the hot pot stock is invented by the boss in nearly 8 months. It is said that a well-known chain store of hot pot once tried to buy the formula. The hot pot stock suits the taste of the people in Beijing well, and when the chili oil boiling, it will be more spicy and delicious. It is the hot pot stock that guarantees the authority of the restaurant. However, the specially instant-boiled dishes are more unique.

 

  Here I recommend three special beef: Spicy Beef, Face Off Beef and Chuck Roll. The face off beef is tender and spicy. Actually, it is pickled with millet pepper. Thus you cannot feel the piquancy with just one bite, however, if continue to eat, your tongue tip will feel the fresh taste. With continual chew, the taste will be more mellow, your face will turn red consequently. We choose the most delicious beef as the raw material - sycee beef. This kind of beef is tender and chewy. You can feel the piquancy and delicacy with each bite.

  Chuck Roll is stored carefully. It only takes 72 hours from live cattle to cooked beef. The quick-frozen beef retains its moisture, therefore, it is chewy. Biting slightly, you can taste delicacy. Besides, there are some other traditional dishes, such as goose intestine,fresh duck blood curds, spicy chicken neck, etc.. What’s more, the restaurant is known as “the filling station for man”. As we have fresh rabbit and chicken kidney for male customers. Don’t miss it once you come here. Of course, the kidney has no fishy smell, instead it’s elastic.

 

  As to the staple food, you can eat a bowl of Chongqing Noodles. With chewy noodle and spicy marinade, it tastes pretty good, which is a good choice for hungry customers. We also have another special dish: Taiwan Balls Platter. The balls with cheese and sea urchin definitely won’t let you down.(You cannot find this dish in Beijing except in our restaurant.) The seasoning is the same as that of Sichuan. It is sealed package, you can take it out when you need it. In addition, we also have refreshing china bottled yogurt. It’s really interesting.
